The 2020 award is for the painting of this fabulous 2-storey home in Ormond. The before shot is below and, as you can see, the transformation is amazing and our client is very happy. The above photos are of the Malvern Heart Centre. We painted both the inside and outside following the renovation of this iconic building in Malvern East. The above photos are of a large modern home we painted in Brighton. We painted the exterior, which was in poor condition with quite a lot of cracking in the render. We used a membrane-type product that stretches with movement to help reduce future cracking.
The photo is of a great child’s bedroom. This was painted as part of a larger project for a gorgeous home in Brighton. Our client wanted to update her home from a yellow colour scheme to an off-white and paint the bedrooms in alternate colours. Click here to view more photos and our video.
This photo is of a weatherboard home we painted in Brighton East. We painted part of the interior and part of the exterior. Lead paint was present both inside and outside. Where the paint was peeling or in poor condition, we stripped the paint first to remove the old lead paint and then repainted. Our client has a young child and was concerned about lead paint affecting her child’s health.

“We have just had most of the exterior of our timber house painted by Women at Work Painters in two separate repeat contracts six months apart.
We found Women at Work Painters very reliable. They came to give us well-structured quotes, timings and contracts when they said they would. Their prices were reasonable, so we gave them repeat business for the two halves of our job.
The work was a bit tricky because of the high roof height, Georgian window frames and prolific plantings and garden beds adjacent to the building walls and surrounding picket fences. The preparation and painting were completed to a high standard. The two painters on our jobs were courteous, hard-working and very skilful. The painters kept us informed about when they were going to be on the job and what parts of the project they would be doing the next day. They did what they said they would do and made negligible mess on our property. Women at Work Painters management visited several times during the jobs to confirm that the high standards set were being met by the assigned painters and that we were happy.
They left us a list of the paints and colours they used and where they used them. They also left us some leftover paint so that we can complete touch-ups ourselves when needed in the future. We have a young puppy who is a bit of a bolter and they were careful to keep gates closed to isolate him in non-work areas and prevent escapes.
Frankly, we can’t think of anything we would like them to have done better.”
