We received this 2023 award for the painting of this substantial 2-storey home in St Kilda East, a suburb close to Murrumbeena. It was in very poor condition with considerable bubbling and peeling, so we had to strip paint and apply an oil-based undercoat prior to painting. We received this 2022 painting award for the painting of this beautiful heritage home in Ormond. We have included before and after photos. The quality preparation and painting, together with the modern colour scheme, transformed this home from heavy and dark to light and airy. The above photos and the interior photo below are of the Malvern Heart Centre in Malvern East. We painted both the interior and exterior and undertook significant preparation to achieve this finish. These photos are of a property we painted in Carnegie. It was quite complex to paint because of difficulty accessing various areas. We used scaffolding around the rear and a boom in the driveway. The painting has brought the property back to life and freshened its appearance.

These next 3 photos are of an older-style house in Murrumbeena. We painted most of the exterior, including the fence. We undertook a considerable amount of preparation, including stripping some of the windows prior to painting. As the property is constructed from stucco, we sprayed most of the walls and fence.

Murrumbeena painters — This first photo is a before photo of the fence. It was in very poor condition. We pressure washed it using a lichen cleaner and arranged for a renderer to repair the render and stucco prior to painting. The difference after the preparation and painting is amazing.

House painters Murrumbeena — This exterior photo is of another house in Murrumbeena that could not be more different. It is a modern 2-storey townhouse. We painted the entire exterior and used scaffolding in some areas because of the height.

“The Women at Work team were a pleasure to work with. They completed a challenging job on my windows under difficult weather conditions.

I hired a lead hygienist because of the complex nature of the job and for lead paint removal advice. They were happy to follow his recommendations. Peel Away was used to remove the lead paint initially, followed by removing the remainder with a HEPA-filter vacuum. All windows were protected to prevent dust from entering the home.

As the windows were in poor condition, Geoff the builder had to essentially reconstruct them, with the result looking like new. Geoff and Simon are true artists. A lot of thought and planning went into the process and I am so happy with the results, as I didn’t think the job was possible.

Greg even returned to complete a final clean-up and admire the finished result, which looked amazing. Thank you to the entire Women at Work team for your hard work. I am looking forward to completing the next set of windows soon.”
