We received a 2023 painting award for this fabulous home we painted in Northcote, very close to Essendon. The rear of the house is a modern extension and the front is the original heritage home. Apart from the usual preparation of sanding, filling and gapping, we also washed and sanded a lot of oiled timber and brought it back to life using Sikkens Cetol HLS. Much of the timber was black or heavily weathered and had to be washed multiple times and sanded prior to recoating. For more information on this project, please click here to see our project page.

We received this 2022 painting award for the painting of this beautiful heritage home in Altona. We have included before and after photos. The significant preparation and painting, together with the new modern colour scheme, transformed this home from heavy and dark to light and airy. We completed substantial preparation, including stripping some of the paint and applying an oil-based undercoat to much of the timber prior to painting. These photos are from a new home we painted in Alphington. We painted both the interior and exterior of this gorgeous building and were awarded the winner of our category by the Master Painters Association in 2018. For more information on this project and others, please click here.

Before and after photos of a house in Essendon where we painted the exterior trim. This included the fascias, gutters, gable strapping, windows and doors. We had to remove and fill rotten timber with a 2-pack filler and reglaze some windows prior to painting. The new colour scheme really suits this house and our client is very happy.

Photos of a fabulous 2-storey weatherboard home we painted in Essendon. We used scaffolding for the 2nd-storey and organised for the power lines to be covered. We pressure washed, electrically sanded, filled and gapped prior to painting.

The above 2 photos are from a commercial property we painted in Airport West. The exterior was complex due to the power lines, render repairs and height. We painted the property after the building had been leased for many years and prior to it being re-leased. We also painted some ceilings, walls and woodwork inside the property.

We also painted the interior prior to our client moving in. There was a lot of detailed timberwork inside, including beautiful window boxes, ornate window surrounds and fretwork. Period home painters — Our final photo is from a stunning home in Williamstown. This is a beautiful period home with high ceilings and many ornate features, including the ceilings and woodwork, which are very similar to the period homes featured above.

Essendon 3040

Essendon is in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, located 10kms north-west of the CBD. It is part of the City of Moonee Valley and has a population of over 18,000 people.

Essendon is the home of the Essendon Football Club, the Bombers, which was formed in 1871. Its headquarters are at Essendon Recreation Reserve, better known as Windy Hill.

It is also home to Essendon Airport, which houses the Victorian Air Ambulance, Royal Flying Doctor Service and Victoria Police Air Wing.
